How did it all start?
We met our lovely Belgium event agency client – B-Ways – on a Métier UK DMC organised Bath & Cotswolds Familiarisation Trip (on behalf of VisitEngland) in March 2014. Such was their impression of Métier UK DMC they contacted us in late September 2014 with a small incentive group enquiry for November 2014.
The brief was for a fun, 2 days in London for a major clothes retailer in Belgium; they requested that it be “in the style of their clothing – hip, modern, young, quality but affordable”.
After arriving to London with the Eurostar, the group was met at St Pancras station by a fleet of 7 beautifully restored vintage Mini Coopers that would take them on a quest through London.
Lunch on the Thames
The group was then taken for lunch on a Thames restaurant boat moored on the Embankment, opposite the London Eye. Great views whilst enjoying lovely British cuisine.
Jermyn Street, dating back to 1664, is home to London’s finest men’s tailors, shirt makers, suppliers of leather goods, food and wine merchants, restaurants, hotels and art galleries. On this unique and private tour, guests learnt the history of the street as well as visiting the exclusive and luxurious shops.
Street Art Tour
London is a surprising city so on their second day, the group was taken to East London for a Quirky Street Art Tour. An experience they are not likely to forget!
Fish and Chips lunch
To feel like a proper Londoner, one needs to taste a great fish & chips. So we took the group to one of the typical restaurants near Spitafields Market where they were able to enjoy a true British experience.
After some free time in the city for more sightseeing – or let’s be honest, for shopping – our lovely group already had to head back to Belgium. Come back to the UK soon!
